PhoneCoding

iOS development first · Android studio under development

Build the iOS app
from the phone
you’re holding.

PhoneCoding Studio is for shipping SwiftUI apps. You speak the screen change, review the hunk with one thumb, then open Learn and practice that same iOS diff. The Android studio is under development.

No glass-keyboard syntax
Speak prompts or tap token chips. Never hunt for curly braces on a 6-inch screen.
iOS screens, 15 lines at a time
Every SwiftUI hunk and every lesson fits in one portrait card. Android lessons wait until that studio ships.

Mobile development, in this order

iOS studio. Then Learn. Android later.

Start on iPhone: build the app in Studio, then practice the SwiftUI change in Learn. Android Studio is listed so you can see it is under development, not a second product you can open today.

PhoneCoding Studio for Android

The native Android engineering studio is currently under active development—bringing the same voice-to-diff loop and hunk review cards to Pixel and Galaxy devices.

  • Kotlin + Jetpack Compose thumb-zone UI (in progress)
  • Shared wss://api.phonecoding.ai agent protocol
  • Android 16 Live Updates for background test runs

Learn iOS development

The classroom is SwiftUI, taught on the phone. You tap the buggy line, patch one token, and watch the iPhone preview change. Android lessons stay closed until that studio exists.

  • Now: SwiftUI state, screen guards, actors, Dynamic Type
  • Each drill: spot the line, tap the token, say why
  • Android track: under development, same as the studio

iOS studio loop

Change the screen. Review the hunk.

The iPhone is the place you direct the SwiftUI change and approve it. The build still runs on a Mac or cloud agent that can compile the app.

Thumb diff review

Review hunks, not 300-line files.

A full pull request is the wrong object for a phone screen. PhoneCoding breaks changes into self-contained hunks with a one-line reason and a thumb-sized decision.

Services/VoiceStreamActor.swift +19 −5 Pending review

Isolate WebSocket audio buffering inside an actor, and retry with jitter so a cellular handoff does not stampede the socket.

actor VoiceStreamActor {
-   var retryCount = 0
-   func reconnect() {
+   var attempt = 0
+   var frameBuffer: [Data] = []
+   func reconnectWithBackoff() {
+       let delay = min(backoff, 16)
        try await openSocketStream()
    }

iOS lessons, on the phone

Learn the screen you just shipped.

The first classroom is SwiftUI. A lesson is the iOS change in front of you: which line breaks the screen, which token fixes it, and why the preview updates.

You answer with a thumb: spot the line, tap the token, and explain why. Android drills open when the Android studio does.

  1. 01 · Locate Tap the exact line in the snippet where the assumption breaks.
  2. 02 · Patch Fill a single token slot by tapping a chip, then watch the code update in place.
  3. 03 · Explain Answer a Socratic question about the visible code in one tap or one spoken sentence.

The full classroom is SwiftUI first, with a live iPhone preview beside every patch.

Build order

iOS development first.

The iPhone studio and the SwiftUI classroom ship together. Android Studio, and the Jetpack Compose lessons that depend on it, stay under development until that iOS loop is real.

  1. Now · iOS v0.1 & Web Learn

    iOS Studio and the SwiftUI classroom

    Native iPhone studio for app changes, hunk review, and Learn drills drawn from those SwiftUI diffs.

  2. Next · iOS v1.0
